Sydney graduated, with honours, from the Media Arts program at Sheridan College, and since then continues to hone her faithful craft. She loves exploring the depth of human psychology, and uses her decade-long training as a pianist to influence the relationship between the pace and emotion in her work.
She also uses her experiences and technical knowledge to empower and educate others in the film industry. As an associate member of the Canadian Cinema Editors (CCE), she participates in mentorship events and was asked to speak at the 4th annual EditCon to share what is needed to be a great Assistant Editor. Sydney is an instructor in the online Pocket Film School.
Away from her editing chair, you can find her on cycling treks and other outdoor adventures with her handsome dog, Todd.
